ing public Scam
If you are convinced? that auto insurance is a commodity,? you don?t need this report, because the ad people have already brainwashed you and you believe price is the only difference in auto insurance policies.? If that is the way you think, you just as well stop reading now and go to a different web site.?
?However, if you don?t know, read on.? This report will make you aware that there is more to an auto insurance policy than meets the eye.? Most people only have? a surface understanding of what it is and some so called experts web sites give bad information.? I was on a web site this morning to review some material and found that a well known web site missed the definition of uninsured and underinsured motorists coverage.? ( I have the screen print out on file as proof, if you want it.)?
?This article will help explain many of the coverages offered, but more importantly will help you formulate the questions that you need to ask your agent when you get ready to review your insurance or get a quote for a different policy.?
Captive or Independent Agent?
There are two types of insurance agents.?? Captive and Independent.? You need to know which you are dealing with.? Captive agents have only limited companies? products to offer.? They may be a very large company or they may be of moderate size, but they all have one thing in common.? The agents are limited in what they can sell by what their company has put together for them to offer.?? The coverages may be exceptional or they may be very poor, but you won?t know the difference if you don?t ask the right questions.?
If the agent you are dealing with is an independent agent representing a number of? companies? he/she may be aware there are differences in policies, but it takes time to explain coverages to a potential customer and sometimes agents do not want to take the time to do that.? Besides ,if you are like 90% of the rest of the people he meets, price is usually the factor that makes the decision unless you are aware of the potential differences and thus the gaps in coverages that my result.? If there is a gap in coverage whose fault is it?? Your agent may be just looking for the lowest price for you because he/she thinks that is what you want.
Too Much Television
After watching hundred of television ads stating that you can save hundreds of dollars by buying insurance on line, it is any wonder we get kind of brain weary and just give up.?
?You may wonder why all insurance companies don?t just offer the same policy, then price would indeed be the determining factor.
? As you will discover, auto policies are not the same and if you don?t know how to determine the difference, you too could be affected by a loss that is not covered.? I can assure you that when that happens to you, you will want to know why it is not covered and what should you have done to get it covered.?? Now is the time to do the evaluation not after the accident when it can be declined.
Do you want an agent?
It also appears , for some people, there is another attraction to buy over the internet.? It is so they can avoid the interaction with a local agent.? They want to remain anonymous by buying insurance without an agent.?? Here is a surprise.? Every company that sells insurance in your state, must be represented by an licensed agent.? So as hard as you might try,? you cannot avoid working with an agent.? Oh, he/she may be in another state thousands of? miles away operating as a clerk asking you the questions that are on a script, but you are dealing with an agent.?? It may be someone who has just passed a license exam, but who really knows nothing about insurance.? Yes that is possible.?
Take the Quiz
If you live a State that has No Fault Auto Insurance, this information does not apply to you.
?There are six questions on the next page.? See for yourself how well you know auto insurance.? You can guess on any of these, but if the situation happened in? real life,? wouldn?t you want to know the answer.? Quiz
Why are there different policies??
Just keep this? in mind.? Auto insurance is a contract between you and the company offering you the policy.? Each company has on staff a few good attorneys who keep updating the language in the policies that they offer to fine tune what is meant by each provision in the policy.? Language is subject to interpretation.? Sometimes that interpretation is done by opposing? attorneys, by judges and if it goes far enough, by juries of peers.?? Then that interpretation? becomes law.? Sometimes those juries decisions are challenged by the courts and a higher court rules differently, then that ruling becomes law.? What this means? is that no one can state exactly how language will be defined in a policy.? However for a large percentage of us, we will accept how the company thinks it should be defined.??? If, after you have an accident, and you don?t agree that the language is correct, the only other option available is to take it before a judge or jury.? That costs a lot of money.? So the only question that needs to be answered is, if you don?t agree with how a statement is interpreted, how much money are you willing to spend to see if you can get it to mean what you think it should mean.? Sometimes even if you are right the battle is just too costly to fight.?
The report
This report is in a pdf file that will download immediately and can be saved to your computer.? This report explains some aspects of auto insurance and challenges what you think you know about it.?? The objective of the report is to make you aware that Auto insurance is not a commodity that the internet marketing companies want you to believe and to give you insight into what questions to ask your agent.
?This insightful report is a tool to arm you with questions to ask the agent that you get your information from.? As was stated previously,? you are buying from an agent when you buy off the internet, you just don?t get the personal help that an agent you know can give you.
Why would anyone want to buy a report like this?
? A couple of reasons.? First, lack of education costs money.?? Not just today but for your whole life.? What you learn today, is the platform of to what you learn tomorrow.?? You will buy a lot of car insurance through your life.?? You should know what you are? buying.
Secondly,? Where can you go to get this kind of information.? If you go to an agent and they don?t know, will they discuss the problem with you? If you go to an agent who knows, but it takes an additional 15 minutes to talk to you about it and then, will it be worth their time??
If you have a claim, and it is denied, who does it help, you or the agent?? It actually benefits the agent because almost every agent is on a
